Premium Internet Connection - Stage One Wiki

If you bring your laptop with you to the university, it is useful to know that if you have bought this Premium Plan, you can easily change your wireless connection to make use of use the higher speed of Internet.

So that you will be able to use the Premium Plan’s faster connection speed, please note you need to configure your browser to use the NetAccount EZproxy. User: Agil097

You can get premium plan for free if you are postgraduate student. I think 200Mb traffic per month or something.

I had it when I did Graduate Diploma in Secondary teaching and it's worth it!

Upgrading to premium internet will provide you with an extreme increment in the internet speed

and will make your working environment in the university campus much comfortable.

It is highly encouraged that all students upgrade to premium internet since the speed increase is

much more worth than the cost you pay for it.

You can get it for free if you are a postgraduate student and it is definitely worth it!

Upgrading to Premium Internet - IMPORTANT!

The internet connections can be upgraded at EC Student Page but you will need to top up your Account first. This can be done at the IC Helpdesk in the Kate Edgar Commons. Also, aren't Wiki's great, i've written a few now, and one of my favourites is Richie Stanaway who is a good friend of mine.

Cost of the premium account is $12 for one semester, or $20 for the whole year. What if I exceed my limit in the month?

If you do exceed your monthly cap, you can carry on browsing the net at a slower speed for free, or you can buy additional quota. Additional quota ;

   * are sold in 100 MB bundles and cost $ 7.00 per bundle.
   * can be used within the 6 month period it was purchased in (Jan-Jun, Jul-Dec).
   * can not be carried over the end of the 6 month period it was purchased in.
   * can not be refunded.
   * can only be purchased once a base package for that 6 month period has been purchased.
   * can be purchased from the site [SITE], your copier balance will be debited for this purchase.

Note

  • It is worth the money as it increases browsing speed drastically. This is not a discussion about Macintosh, nor is this a thread on a forum. This COMPSCI paper is good for learning core foundation things about computers. Information about the history The Internet is really good to have just to understand how The Internet started out and things like that, these are stories we'll be able to tell our children and their children.

  • Premium account does not count international bandwidth usage, but only national.
