About Me

My name is Benjamin Choo. I am currently doing 3rd Year BBIM.

How does BBIM differ from BCOM

The BBIM degree is an integrated double major degree – which means you major in Accounting or Marketing AND your second major is in Information Management.

This provides you with a package of skills designed to strengthen your capabilities in your chosen career area. You will have the knowledge you require in accounting or marketing AND the information management technical ability that many employers look for.

With a BCom, however, you can choose your major(s) from many different course options which could mean your studies are not as integrated as if you decide to study for a BBIM.

As a BBIM student you will move through the degree from course to course with the same group of students for the three year programme - so it is extremely social and interactive.

Your lecturers, at all stages of the degree, will be able to engage in teaching you as a cohesive group of identically prepared students.

Papers I am taking in Semester One of 2010

  • ACCTG 321
  • ACCTG 311
  • INFOMGMT 393
  • COMPSCI 111G (Course co-ordinator is Ann Cameron)
