Ideas For "Walking Shoes"
A time-based art installation
Walking Up The Wall 1
The idea is that we see a pair of shoes (in profile) walking up the wall. The camera stays level with the shoes so they remain in central frame.
Shooting
- Shoot with camera mounted on a low dolley
- Frame and track feet walking at consistent speed
- Shoes and trousers need to be black or at least dark
- Background should be light and some distance away
Displaying
- The wall needs to be clear of other work
- There must be enough room to mount a projector
- Control of ambient light is important
Walking Up The Wall 2
As above but illustrated graphically - or at least in animated form.
- MS Paint?
- Autocad?
- Photoshop?
Experiment to find which will work. Keep in mind that video is 25 fps and a 2sec cycle - multiple repeats will be needed - this can be achieved with Final Cut after the 50 or so frames are loaded in.
