About Me

I am a student from COMPSCI111 and COMPSCI105. This is my first year in UOA. I am a New Zealand Permanent Resident and I lived in the east of Auckland. Before I came to NZ, I lived in Southern China and I am still a Chinese citizen. I can speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin fairly well(I think), those are languages we use in the south of China. I am also a composer/musician and I am quite good at it, I got like second in music in my last college before coming to UOA :p. However I don't make music that often now, only when I feel like to (I mean...isn't that what all musicians and artists be like? XD). Also, I love driving and Motorsports, I am a petrol-head by definition, I've once watched almost 12 hrs of a single race(not joking, there's actually a 24hr-race called Le Mans, you guys can search it).

Before Coming to UOA

I was a student from Macleans College. I studied math, economics, physics and music (my fav, but I am not enrolled in it currently because it's just my hobbit XD actually because it's really not that useful).

Fun Facts

1. As I just mentioned, I can speak 3 languages: English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
2. I am a musicians and I actually make songs(not published yet, still developing).
3. If you know the VR game BeatSaber, search CYMONO on the custom song website, that's actually me XD (tho I’ve only arranged anime songs into really hard levels so far XD).
4. Yes, I have a VR headset.
5. My real first name is actually Zhongran. It's not that easy to pronounce for non-Chinese(facepalm), so I change it to my preferred name Simon. I've been using that name for almost 10 years.
