Hi, my name is Yoshiaki (吉秋), and its literal meaning is "luck in autumn." As autumn is the season for harvests, this word is popular for Japanese names as a prayer for productiveness of the newborn's life, while other kanji's such as 明 and 昭 (both meaning "bright") are also seen for the sound aki.
