Web browser - Stage One Wiki

A web browser is an application used to access the WWW


Of the 5 major web browsers in use today:

  • Mozilla Firefox - 47.9%
  • Internet Explorer - 39.4%
  • Google Chrome - 6.5%
  • Safari - 2.1%
  • Opera - 3.3%

It has been found that the safest of the three to use is Google Chrome as its design makes it almost impossible for people to infiltrate your computer. At a recent competition called Pwn2Own, hackers were able to exploit Firefox and Internet Explorer in under a minute.
